New.

My desire for this new year, is to find my true identity, the one that is not attached to any past occurence, or my failures or any accomplishment. I don't want to derive my sense of identity from what I do, or what I have done, or even from my hopes for the future. I want to hear my true name, the one my Heavenly Father calls me. There is only one place our true identity springs from; and that is from the one who has written it. More than every other goal I have for myself, it is my greatest longing, to hear a fresh word spoken to my heart about who the Father saw when he thought of me. Only from that place can all other goals be pursued in fullness, and my struggles faced and growth and change truly happen.
